why are my HD partitions hidden?

Hello guys,
I faced this problem when trying to follow the instructions to install windows 7 on my USB flash memory, I suddenly found that both D: and E: drives were hidden, I went to Disk Management and found them still there but cant access them from my computer anymore. I tried some tools but no result.
Your help and suggestions are highly appreciated 🙂
