Why does my client have to click print twice before he gets the printout?

I have a client that has to click print 2 times before he gets the printout from a newly opened email Outlook 2010. If the email has already been opened it prints normally. All other programs print normally as well. He has Windows 7 with a Dell printer using their open driver due to restrictions with scaling with the Dell driver.
