Why does my system keep restarting?

by flynn_legacy.exe . Updated 16 years, 4 months ago

Here’s my situation:
I had gotten a virus recently on one of my older rigs and I thought I removed it properly.
Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
My system keeps rebooting its left, nonstop. It will get as far as the XP logo and restart again…
It was running on XP home and I installed XP pro since I figured my best bet was to fresh. Now when I restart my system, it asks me to choose either home or pro. Pro boots up fine and I’ve tried to boot home again and it reverts back to the continuous restarting. Although pro runs boots I can’t seem to connect to the internet at all…
I guess my question is, is there anyway of repairing home and accessing my old files?
I hope I described this well, thanks for your time…
