Printer – HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a Connected via a USB Cable Not Networked

This all started about 3 months a go but has worked fine before this.
I have un-installed and re-installed the printer driver completely 3 different times. I also un-installed and re-installed the MS Office 2007 Pro and still the printer won’t print.
What would cause such a problem? In all my research I have found where some people said to install a PS Drivers for this Printer; but there is not a 32/ 64Bit version available.
Please advise any ideas because I really don’t want to buy another printer when I spent a lot of money on this printer.
