Will any email program sync contacts, schedules and tasks as well?

I am wondering if Outlook or any free email reader would sync contacts, schedules etc with GMail’s apart from email messages for free?

I have not got a smart phone so I don’t know if those devices would sync all these. At this stage I am talking about computers as I use several computers in various locations. I would like to be able to access my mails, contacts and schedules and even tasks anywhere using one program.

I prefer not to log on to GMail directly because I have several email accounts to deal with. I do not want the GMail account to pick up mail from other accounts either. So if I can access them with one mail reader I expect to be able to deal with them all in one place.
