WIN XP Problems!!

by markcconcept . Updated 21 years, 7 months ago

Since taking the advice of other members, and doing a clean install of Win XP, I am getting NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!!
The system keeps restarting without warning, and on opening, the error message ‘The system has recovered from a serious error’ continually shows.
I’ve got Norton Internet Security 2004, with Norton Anti-Virus 2004, (freshly updated) which shows no viruses.
I’m running the OS on an Asrock KV7M.. motherboard, AMD 1.2ghz processor, and 384mg of PC133 ram. The ram consists of 1×128 and 1×256.
The OS is installed on a NEW 40gig HD (master), with a 20gig slave drive. There’s approx 165mg ram free after boot. Yes, I have adjusted the Start Up in Msconfig, but NOT the Microsoft services.
I’m running out of points, but DESPERATELY need help! I’m having GREAT difficulty running ANY of the installed programs.
Would the 2 sticks of ram cause these problems?
Finally, if anyone can put me in touch with Donovan Marsden, I’d really appreciate it!
