Win XP won’t run dos server software

I have SBT 3.0 running on a Win2k server with 10 Win 98 computers mapped to the folder. I tried to use a Win XP pro computer with the same mapping. It will not bring the software up. The program flashes a window and closes. Can someone please help me to figure this out.
