Recently i had downloaded the Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 from microsoft website. After successfully execute the Service Pack 4, i restart the pc. However, i encountered the message saying:
“Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory request for some applications may be denied”
My OS is installed in drive C and i have another hard disk (drive D). The problem now is that i could not access drive D as it kept saying
“The disk in drive D is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?”. Prior to install the service pack 4, i have no problems in accessing my drive D. As a result all applications installed in Drive D could not be launched.
I thought maybe i could not access drive D is due to low virtual memory space. My drive C currently now has 181MB.I have changed the paging file to 100Mb with 81MB free space. Now when i restart, there is no error message on virtual memory but i still could not get access to my drive D.
Can anyone provide a solution for this?
