Win95 – Un-Formatting of Drive??

Here is a dumb question from a dummy who didn’t back his storage drive up before re-installing Win95 from a Compaq Recovery CD.

Can the secondary drive be un-formatted to recover any data??? Is there anyway to get any of that data back?
