Windows 2000 and AS400

Our Windows 9x workstations see the AS400 fine in the network neighborhood. However with the same protocols. Windows 2000 Network Places does not show it.. Does anyone know why? I would like to map some items but w/out being about to see it I can’t do it.. I can ping it fine..
