I have never worked on a problem like this before. A soho has a all windows network, wired and wireless. A company DSL connection with all computers (6 or 7 with a laptop that sometimes uses it) the only problems I have had were from the ISP. The owners hubby desided to install a Bluetooth access point to his computer. Well now the fun starts! My wife says his computer cannot get an internet connection and he cannot fix it. A little back ground my wife started working for this company five years ago. I have rebuilt this network twice because the hubby did stuff that he thought he should be able to do. It is an old Win 2000 setup, a 2000 server and basic setup with a wireless add on. I send him the basic trouble shooting by email because he is a self made power user;). If I try to tell him what to do he gets mad. I get to the site and do every thing that MS suggest and remove the Bluetooth software, clean and look at every thing installed. Well I will not go through all thirty or so not needed programs and other things on this computer but I did check and fix most errors in the event log. One is a DNS error but the ISP is the DNS server so it can not effect this one computer. All other computers on this network work great, so I am stumped. I told him to call in the people who setup his network to find the problem.
