Windows 2000/Client 4.71

I have both a Dell GX300 with a Madge Token Ring (yeah, yeah) 100/16/4 and an IBM 600X ThinkPad with a Madge Token Ring MK2 Cardbus. Both have Windows 2000 on them and Novell Client 4.71 on the ThinkPad and as of today Novell Client 4.8 Beta on theDell. The problem is when I log into the network, if I right click on My Computer and select Explore, Explorer starts and immediately closes on both PC’s (any way I start Explorer, it does the same thing). If I logon to Workstation only or standalone on the T-Pad, things work the way they are supposed to. Another bug that is similar is when I browse to change my wallpaper and click the up directory button until all network drives are visible, that dialog box disappears also.
