I support a network of Windows/95 PCs running under Novell 4x & NT servers. New user came to our firm with a PC from his old firm running Windows 2000 Professional.
Did not want to connect this PC to our network so I loaded pcAnywhere 9.0 on it to transfer the data files to our network. PC will not function. Info on the Symantec site indicates a patch will fix, but I cannot log into the PC in safe mode with the user’s password and the Administrator password was set by his old firm (they won’t want to give us this).
Can the password be disabled? I can access the data on this drive by connecting it as a slave to one of my NT boxes, but I’d rather not have to reformat and load all his programs again.
