I’m currently trying to migrate a load of users from one Windows Terminal Server 2003 to another one.
The idea behind this is that once the accounts are moved across and settled in, I’m going to flatten the old one, rebuild it, then set-up load balancing between the two.
So far I’ve set-up the new TS as I want it and now I’m at the stage that I want to start with shifting the users across. By that I mean I want the users to start using the new TS to login to.
The current situation is that TS1 is on a static IP, TS2 (the new one) is on Dynamic. Active Dir is held on our PDC.
I’m going to shift the users over, get rid of TS1, give it’s old IP to TS2 as static, then rebuild TS1.
I need some pointers on how to move the accounts as I’m having problems getting their Lotus Notes to pick up the original settings once they have been shifted.
Any ideas what I need to know, or even what questions I should be asking to get this started?
