I’m trying to upgrade a Canon Innova 500 computer (Pentium 90) from Win 3.11 to 95. If I use a regular Win95 cd, it starts the install and before it gets very far I get an error message saying that “there’s already an operating system installed that cannot be upgraded by the current cd. Please use an upgrade.” When I use the Win95 upgrade contained on a cd I have with other OS’s, File Manager will not display any of the files in any of the Windows directories. The only thing that will display is the DOS 6.22 directory. Using File, Run and typing the path to Setup gives me an error message that the file cannot be found. Not even exiting to DOS will let me read the Win95 directories. DOS says the directory is invalid when I try to do a “dir” on any of the directories other than DOS 6.22. This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. I did find a KB article on Microsoft’s site referencing the error message I got, but it related to upgrading from 95 to 98 and not 3.11 to 95. Any thoughts on what’s happ
