Windows 7: when opening a new excel sheet, the application is minimized…

So,

I use a program to design VoIP systems and within the program I can export a Parts List that on other Windows 7 machines will “pop-up” an Excel. However, on my machine the Excel sheet opens up minimized.

I have no idea why it is doing this nor do I know where/what settings to check as I am still mastering Windows 7.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
