windows 8.1 new update october

when I got my new laptop Acer V3-571 it was loaded at factory with one language and I got a upgrade free to media center the download did not work of the 1 language i cant remember
what I did but got Microsoft to download from Germany software and I got windows 8 serial and software then got to windows 8.1 pro with media center
now my worry is this I don’t have software on a dvd and when the new windows 8.1 comes in and anything happens to my software how can I create a dvd so now or after new update I reload a clean installation on my laptop.
please help
