I have a Windows 98 system which has this unusual problem :
I ran free online Registry Repair software from the Internet on my system and it had a few errors. Justafter this process I found a new Icon on my Desktop. I wanted to see what it was and I clicked Open and it said open with menu, and I mistakenly clicked open with cczip (cczip refers to CoffeeCup Zip/Unzip software on my computer) What happened next is completely bizzarre. Most of my desktop items plus all my software including My Computer and Control Panel plus the Internet Explorer Properties etc all display the Open with option NOW and before this incident they never asked for this Open with Option….
But when I try to open with all options listed NOTHING happens. None of the files open AT ALL.
I want to Undo what I have done and go back to my old system again. I cant even delete any programs due to this problem.
Can anyone suggest any solution ???
Has anyone had such a problem before AND If not, Is anyone up to the challenge to figure out what and how to Undo all this and return to the system as it was before ???
