Windows Installer -Help Me

Yesterday my itunes needed updated so I did. After I did. It freaked out telling me that quicktime needed reinstalled then Itunes itself after doing that and having the program almost completly installed it says ‘Windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personel for assistance.’ Please help.
