windows NT to 2000 migration

by jkeav634 . Updated 21 years, 6 months ago

my current setup is a windows nt server , wins server and sonicwall vpn device at my main location. Remote sites access the main location from windows 2000/xp workstations and the remote location has a windows nt server running only wins service and connecting through sonicwall vpn device.
I am going to install a windows 2000 server for file storage at the remote location to replace the windows nt server. How will users be able to access the network at the main location? Do I need to keep the wins server there? do I use host files? any help is appreciated
