Windows protection error

I have an AMD K6/2 550Mhz CPU with 64 MB of RAM on my computer. I got a windows protection error every time I boot the machine. It doesn’t matter if it is Windows 95 or 98. The computer boots fine on safe mode. The motherboard, CPU, RAM and HD are new. Cn you help me?
