Windows XP has ip address but no internet access

this one computer i’m working on has windows xp home sp2. it has ip address, msn messenger logs in and works fine but browsers dont, neither IE or Firefox. i’ve reset everything to factory defaults but still no luck.

its not a dns problem, cant go to an ip address either.

Did the winsock fix but still has the same problem.

I’m on wired LAN connection.
