WindowsRecovery in Sony Vaio XP HELP!

My Sony Vaio gave me a hard drive error message. Then sent me to a WindowsRecovery site. Looks suspicious to me as they have have spelling mistakes and
grammar errors on the site. Is this an authentic windows program?

Computer restart locks up screen with a WindowsRecovery screen and shows critical
errors on hard drive. Then says I need an “advanced module required to fix detected critical errors”. They want CAD $82.27 to download their program.

Is this an installed virus or a legit site and program.
