WinXP Pro – Task List is blank

On a WinXP Pro PC, when going into Task Manager, the Applications tab is blank even though there are programs open. The Processes tab lists all the processes, but the Apps tab lists nothing. On Microsoft, I found a KB that says that there is a hotfix in the works to fix this problem for Win2000, but I’m not finding anything for Windows XP. Anyone know how to fix this?
