Wireless Roaming with WinXP

I have three access points setup on one floor of an office building(three different channels, same ssid)My laptops are all winXP Pro. I would like them to transparently roam between AP’s depending upon signal strengh. However this is not funtioning, I have to resacn to get the adapter to grab the right AP
