XP install BSOD

by chonert . Updated 14 years, 6 months ago

I have an HP G60-235dx that had Vista on it, but now I installed a new HD (due to a virus/HD crash) and am trying to install XP on it, but keep getting the BSOD – stop: 0x0000007B. I’ve read many forums and it seems to be a Chipset driver issue, but I haven’t found the correct one or been able to load additional drivers from the usb thumb drive during the XP installation. Any ideas?
