XP local profiles

by stergios_nik . Updated 21 years, 8 months ago

Hello.

I want to create an XP installation that will be used for a computer lab. The image will be ghosted to all other PCs. I do not want the PCs to get the profile from a Windows Server.

Could you tell me the procedure to follow in order to create a local profile that will be used by everyuser who logs on the PC.

Is this possible to be done?

For example if userA logs on then he gets the profile from c:\disk\profile. The profile must have all the correct printers and Internet Explorer settings. Also, some shortcuts to some applications must be created on the desktop that the user must be able to use.

If another user logs on then the Same profile from c:\disk\profile will be applied with the same correct printers and Internet Explorer settings + shortcuts.

Any ideas how to do that?

Any articles?

Thank you in advance.
