XP SP1 New Build Browser Issues

I have a fresh XP Pro SP1 build and it continues to
launch browsers so I can’t get online to download
SP2. The multiple browser launches are eating rescources
of course and so I get locked-up in a few minutes
of being online. Any ideas?

Thnx.
