XP VPN to Sonicwal SOHO3

I am trying to create a VPN from PC’s using the Windows XP VPN client to a Sonicwall SOHO3. The Sonicwall VPN client will work for the connection, but for various reasons we need to use the WIN XP vpn client instead. Unable to make the connection using XP VPN. Sonicwall tech support indicates this approach will work, but will not tell us how since they do not support anything but their own VPN client. Any suggestions on how to configure this approach.
