1962 error with the post operations

I have a pc the gets a 1962 error, I went to
the bios and checked the battery, and the
hard drive. I set the default settings back
and it tells me that it has a virus that has
corupted the post operations, and still can’t
go any farther than the memory check because
it then goes to a black screen, and just says
1962. Can boot from a bootable disk, but
won’t recongize a c drive, won’t scandisk or
anything. Please help
