A simple yet pragmatic C#- Tutorial

As a result of a new Enterprise Application, I must learn c#.

Can someone direct me to a tutorial(online)which will:

A. Explain how it works
B. Show relvant examples
C. NOT after a couple of sections,
branch off in the .NET/VB/EI-EI-O
“hell dimension.

Basically, something simple, that makes sense to an Old C-Programmer like myself.
