About typing and speed…

So, another instructor and I are sitting here discussing the value of classes like ‘Keyboarding and Formatting’. We are wondering what, if any, the real need for speed in typing is these days; and whether or not employers actually test potential employees for typing speed.

Edit: As an employer, do you deliberately seek out speedy typists? Do you test your applicants specifically for speedy typing?
