Access question (need a fast answer)

I have a command button(issue’s list) on a form which allows the user to update a spread sheet with completed work and work that’s not completed.
I have also created 2 report buttons- one for completed work and the other for open work.

The problem that I am having is when the user updates the issue’s list with a completed date, I need for that record to update the closed report. The same goes for the Open report….

Does anyone out there have a clue on how to send a record over to a table if a certain field is filled in? PLEASE HELP
