I have a zone and a domain called abc.def.com, a web url of abc.def.com . The Dns is DDNS and all of the DCs’ are registering a host record of abc.def.com , along with there usual records. So I end up with 5 Host records
of abc.def.com . Is there anyway that you can set the query or reply order so it only resolves to a speific record? I have tried to delete the records created by the DCs, but of course they keep appearing and then it no longer works again. If I do an NSLOOKUP against abc.def.com I get back the 5 different IPs. I do have a host record for WWW that works so if you enter www.abc.def.com you get the web site. But I still need to be able to get there without entering WWW. Any ideas? Also I have tried creating an alias for abc.def.com but it won’t let me.
