Activity Based Costing (ABC) @ IT Sevice Management

Has anyone explored an (possibility/upsides/downsides) of applying ABC principles when costing/charging/accounting for IT Services and/or Business Services (support by IT). If anyone would share experience or point to a relevant publication – that would be just wonderful!! Thank you!!
