Adding a second computer to cable modem

My daughter just got a new desktop – she has a coax cable into her room (for television) and we have a cable modem setup in our office for our main computer. Do I need to pay Comcast to install another cable modem in her room, can she hook to my existing modem, or can I use a wireless cable modem (I have an extra one)? thanks for your help
