AI and IT; The ethics of so called “friendly” AI

I presume to assume that the members of TR have already know about AI. In fact, I would be severely disappointed if your knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is less than my own.

That being said, I would like to discuss today the impact (if any) of the advent of true, widespread AI (friendly or otherwise) on IT.

I would also like to hear your opinion on the ethics and morality (if applicable) behind the concept of Friendly AI.
