asian fonts

somehow I’ve gotten installed in my fonts list a number of fonts that have chinese or other asian names and I haven’t found an effective way to get rid of them. through control panel doesn’t work. the fonts tend to crash certain programs if I just brush over them
anyone know how to banish them for good?
