ASP.NET C# MySQL SHOPPING CART

Hi

I’m new to coding in C# & ASP.NET i’ve been requested to build a shopping cart in the above languages using a MySQL db. Has anyone any suggestions where I should start? Any resources? Any source code examples? Everything i’ve seen uses sql server or server express.
