Blackberry Question

I recently wiped my handheld 8703e and did an enterprise activation. Now I only have 40 emails in my blackberry as opposed to the 600 from before. Is there a way to change that and resynch without having to wipe the handheld again and reactivating? Is there also a setting on the BES that causes this?
