Blank Device Manager

From safe mode, the device manager showed nothing too! What can I do to resolve this in the easiest way? Why is it so? What will happen in the long run if I just leave the PC in this way? Up to now, I can still use the PC but sometimes somewhere will slowed down especially file searching…. Thanks!
