Boston is starting the wave – Outsourcing prices in the states

Well – we called it and its starting in Boston of all places. From the CIO Mag – and this is a good idea to the CIO’s and CEO’s –

“So Carson decided to advertise in The Boston Globe. The catch: He offered the positions at a relatively low salary of $3,500 per month (or $42,000 annually), an amount comparable to offshore programmers’ rates but considerably less than the $80,000 to $100,000 typically commanded by Boston-area talent. Yet despite the lower wages, cMarket found no shortage of interest?in three days, Carson received 120 r?sum?s. He hired three people, two of whom have since become full-time employees with higher salaries.”

Soon we will be priced with the unskilled workers of McDonalds – rather than Hamburgers – its a hunk of Code…

Where will it end..
