Building Excel Formulas in Access – Why don’t they get interpreted?

by gtsiang . Updated 19 years ago

I am building Excel formulas in an Access table and then exporting this table to be opened in Excel. The formulas are correct but, for some reason, the formulas don’t get interpreted by Excel unless I actually go into each cell and “touch” it, e.g., I press F2 and Enter. I don’t change the contents but, for some reason, this “wakes up” Excel and tells it to now interpret that cell’s formula.

Is there something else I can do to tell Excel to evaluate these formulas the very first time the spreadsheet is opened? F9 | Shift+F9 | Alt+Ctrl+F9 etc. don’t have any effect either.
