Recently one of our managers in this department was married. She informed us that she would like to begin using her married name. Our IS manager issued a work order to have all of her personal resources renamed to reflect her married name (she has apersonal share on our NT file server and a mailbox on our Exchange server).
With this work finished, she asked why she was unable to open her personal folders in Outlook 2000. The dilemma is this:
Now that she is using her new login and her new mailbox is created, she is unable to access the original .pst folder created under her original login. The folder can be added as an Exchange service (as normal) but she recieves an ‘access denied’ message when opening the .pst because it was created under her old login.
Here is the challange:How can access to her original .pst folder be gained so that the contents of it can be copied to her new .pst under her new user name?
