Can’t display asp pages on localhost

I have a PC that is not on a network running Windows 2000 Server. I installed IIS. The service is started and set to automatic. I can’t display any asp files in IE6, not even localstart.asp. I can display html and the gif files in wwwroot directory. Where do I go from here?
