The IT Director has been very supportive to me to my face. If I ask him how I can improve my work or if he has any feedback for me, he tells me that I’m a valued employee and he would tell me if there was anything I needed to improve on. Recently, however, I’ve heard from a trusted source that he’s telling me one thing, but making complaints about me behind my back. For example, he’ll tell me to my face that I can work from home when I need to, but tells others that I have to straighten out my attendance!
I don’t know if it’s just this IT Department, but there seems to be an awful lot of underhanded goings on here. So much gossip! The people who walk around and do nothing are treated like gold and the people, like myself, who are truly invested in their jobs get no credit and are talked about. What gives?!
