contacts do not receive e-mail messages sent from Outlook 2007

by arthurkeye . Updated 19 years ago

I recently installed Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 on a desktop that uses a DSL connection from AT&T/BellSouth. There are a couple of annoying issues with the Outlook application:

1) Certain contacts either do not receive sent e-mails or attachments on e-mails from the Outlook suite.

2) Messages deleted by clicking on the black X on the toolbar seem to score a line through the message, but the message is not removed from the inbox and placed in the deleted items folder.

The failure to properly send a message is the most irritating problem. I have personally used the problem computer to send myself a message via Outlook and after 2 days, the message is still not in my personal inbox. The message also does not appear in the Outbox of the affected computer.

Can anyone determine what is wrong and how I might be able to make the correction?
