contacts folder in outlook 2003

I have a new user who is trying to add contacts in outlook 2003 . He is being prompted for location information, i.e the information you would be asked to give when setting up a modem connection phone number , location etc. At this stage he has to use task manager to exit the application as he cannot go any further with the contact information as it freezes.
