C:\Winnt\System32\svchost.exe Black Screen Appears

I am facing the following error when i logon into my windows 2000 professional machine:

(C:\Winnt\System32\svchost.exe)

“Black Screen Appears with the above description”

Can anyone help me how to fix this error.
