delete backup

backup for cd-rom drive
i accidently have windows 98 loaded on top of the original windows 98 and it has formed a backup
E:{C}backup drive. i believe the original problem that caused me to be in safe mode is fixed,it had to do with cshoot.vxd from norton clean sweep being uninstalled. hot do i remove the backup drive safely. dell xps r450 pentium II 486 .icannot find original config any idea where i might look ?? HELP PLEASE!
